Sally Hanna **Guest Slammer**

I have been a huge fan of Sally’s work since joining her on the Story of My Life design team. She has an amazing style all her own and I anxiously await her projects each month. She was nice enough to offer up one heck of a challenge for this week. I hope you like it as much as I do.

In Sally’s words: For my art slam challenge, i decided to make a spring mini art slam journal. my challenge is to add some texture by sewing on your art pages.(big surprise, huh!) you can either sew by hand or use your machine. i used card stock backed with cardboard as my base, then applied several layers of paint and ink, using dry wall tape for different shapes and texture. once dry, i used my sewing machine and black thread and framed the pages. next, i used spray ink and stamps to highlight certain areas. then i added patterns using ki lace paper, vintage sheet music, paper from book pages, tulle, cardboard, staples and misc. tags. The cover represents hail and the chilly spring mornings, page two (music) is birds singing, three represents the tulips blooming, four is plants emerging as the warm sun and wind wakes their winter slumber, five is the spring rain and black thunderstorm sky, last page is more flowers.
