Got it Bad
You know you got it bad when you wake up in the morning dreaming about new workout clothes. I woke up this morning ready to get my burn on and I am so glad this is how I start my Saturday mornings out.
I have had a few people ask how I stay motivated to fitness and working out as early as I do. Well, for one, I don’t leave room for excuses. Secondly, I set my shoes, socks and gear out the night before. I literally roll out of the bed, pray and get dressed in the dark. I head down to the kitchen, make a protein shake and then go to the basement. I start the first set of reps off light, then I really get into my workout. I go for about 45 minutes, then I start my morning routine and get my family up and out the door a couple of hours later.
I have made being and getting healthy a priority in my life. I have made excuses for years why I could not get back to doing this. Now, I crave it, I think about it, I read about it. Working out makes me feel better physically, mentally and spiritually. I have noticed changes in what I was able to do a few weeks ago and what I can do now. Working out kicked my ass like you would not believe the first week I did it. I was sore for five days and instead of waiting for the soreness to go away, I worked through it. I am not getting younger, but that does not mean my body can not be fit. If you make this fun instead of work, it is a good thing.
Now I am off to Target to look at the workout gear…I think I need a new pair of shorts!
